Based in the Midlands and after 17 years spent working as a Graphic Designer creating digital and print projects, Rebecca looked up from the monitor and was taken with the vivid world of printmaking and its endless opportunities for image making.
Still relatively new to the craft, she spend a lot of time researching and reading about other printmakers and their preferred processes whilst still gravitating towards relief printing when creating her own work. This year’s festival is the first Rebecca has been involved in and she is delighted to be associated with the Leicester Print Workshop as a member and stall holder.
Each of the prints in this collection uses a series of small lino blocks, printed one at a time. Some of the prints combine monoprint with the constancy of lino print, creating a balance of texture and form.
The theme for this collection is Survival and Defence.
